1977-1978: Founder and conductor of the medical student choir "Tinnitus".
1978-1980: Conductor of Oslo postkor, a choir for postal employees (a mixed mail choir!)
From March 1992 to March 1995, chairman of the Norwegian International Health Assosciation.
From May 1999 to May 2002, chairman of FIRM (forum for forebyggende infeksjonsmedisin og reisemedisin, Norwegian Society of Travel Medicine and the Prevetion of Infectious Diseases).
Since March 1999 owner and administrator of Reiseklinikken - Oslo Travel Clinic, the largest vaccination clinic in Norway.

Other achievments

Participated in the Birkebeiner ski marathon 2006: 54 km, 1000 m climbing.
